Final preparations for the 2015 Macular Carotenoids conference are now well underway. There will be a significant increase in delegate numbers from the 2013 conference, with many countries represented at the event.
Speaking about the conference preparations and the increase in delegate numbers, chair of the Conference, Professor John Nolan said…
“The interest for the 2015 conference has increased significantly since the 2013 event, and we have put a lot of effort in to try and promote the event; we are delighted with the results. It was important to me that scientists with an interest in the macular carotenoids in age-related macular degeneration, vision and cognitive function were made aware of this focused carotenoid event. Obviously, we are delighted to now have such a large international interest also, and we look forward to welcoming all attending delegates from across the globe. The conference organisers are now working extra hard to ensure that all preparations are in place for a successful conference, so we have busy weeks ahead!”
Update: important points to note

- Accommodation at Downing College is almost full ( Downing College Accommodation booking).
- July is a very busy time in Cambridge, as there will be a lot of tourists in the city; therefore, we suggest that if you want to book outside hotel accommodation that you do so ASAP (see links on the conference webpage).
- If you are already registered and intend bringing a partner to the gala dinner on the Thursday night (9th July), please ensure that you purchase a gala dinner ticket. In this way your partner can attend the social gala dinner and enjoy the events of the night.
